What is CHC?
The Canadian Hydronics Council (CHC), a council within the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), has represented Canada’s hot water heating industry for over 40 years.
With participation from each of CIPH’s regions, as well as the Thermal Environmental Comfort Association of BC, CHC is truly a national council.
Our mandate allows us to participate in the following:
- Education and Training including delivery of national standard curriculum;
- Government Relations including participation in codes and standards;
- Industry and Consumer Marketing through the “Ultimate Comfort” brand.
Canadian Hydronics Council considers itself the most complete source for Canada’s hot water heating industry whether it is seeking technical expertise; industry consultation; consumer-friendly information; or just plain “know-how.”
CHC passionately believes that hydronics is the “Ultimate Comfort” in home heating. The Council also commits effort to ensuring that minimum standards, such as the CSA B214 Installation Code for Hydronic Heating Systems, are in place as a basis for consumer protection and safety. This is why CHC promotes training and certification to ensure a reasonable level of competency by those installing hydronic-heating systems.
